Since you've covered Wentworth the only thing I can really add to the relevant section is that Yudkowsky is a red means no / rape orgy attendee, as well as some other attendees currently being with METR and Coefficient Giving. Nate Soares is also an organizer.
An ex-Lighthaven bartender has said she stopped performing that service, in part, because of misogyny and harassment from Ronny Fernandez. Multiple journalists I've spoken with have said a numerous amount of women have Ronny Fernandez stories (enough to convince one of those journalists that there's a serious problem.)
Also worth noting that a victim of sexual assault at Slutcon 1 said she was initially reluctant to come forward because of the organizer's attachment to red means no / CNC events.

I'd have to dig more but my memory is that at the time there were other statements that went into more detail on that theme, making it pretty clear where OpenAI stood. It isn't until OpenPhilanthropy basically buys Holden Karnofsky a board seat at OpenAI that OpenAI starts even pretending to be EA-aligned. (Karnofsky's board seat was later more or less gifted to Helen Toner, who was part of the incident where the board briefly fired Altman).
(Edited to add: it's probably right that the EA movement helped convince Musk that AI would be very important in the future. But Musk pretty clearly and openly rejected the EA line about what to do about it from the beginning.)
Overall it's not a great situation because I don't think Altman gives a shit about behaving remotely ethically whereas the Anthropic folks do care but have a threat model that's wrong in arguably self-serving ways. Not great having those as the top two AI firms!
openai is in a truly bizarre position where it tries to please and pander to all factions and it at least briefly managed to convince a lot of EA/rationalist people that they were on the same side

but this makes any description of where openai sits ideologically, uhm, very difficult because it’s ideologically incoherent
